Kruger National Park: 19 Elephants killed by poachers so far in 2015!

According to South African National Parks (SANParks), 19 elephants have been poached in Kruger National Park so far in 2015. 12 of those have been illegally killed in September (seven elephants) and October (five elephants) 2015 alone. The majority of the elephants were poached in the northern part of Kruger National Park.


The first confirmed elephant poaching incident in Kruger National Park in well over ten years took place in Pafuri section of the Park in May 2014. Kruger National Park lost two elephants the whole of 2014.
