Survey: King Shaka International Airport in Durban named second Best Airport in Africa!

Airports Council International (ACI), the only global trade representative of the world's airport authorities, has announced the winners of the prestigious 2016 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) on Mauritius was named Best Airport in Africa 2016 (over 2 million passengers per year), followed by King Shaka International Airport (DUR) in Durban and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town. Bram Fischer International Airport (BFN) in Bloemfontein scooped the award for Best Airport in Africa 2016 (under 2 million passengers per year) and for Best Improvement in Africa 2016. Congratulations!

The annual Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards recognize and reward the best airports in the world according to ACI's ASQ passenger satisfaction survey. Over 320 airports across 80 countries participate in the survey, which is based on measuring passengers' satisfaction taken while they are at the airport. Some 600,000 passengers per year are interviewed prior to boarding their flight and asked to rate their satisfaction with the airport's services.
